We all know Bonnaroo as the weekend long drug romp music festival, held in some backwoods farm in Tennessee. But Bonnaroo is making the news in ways completely unrelated to music…well kind of. It seems that two men, are suing the fstival for reasons that are only important to themselves. Dr. Ayman Al-Zawahiri and Jonathan Lee Riches, who both most likely live in a federal pen because the address they list is the very same as a jail in Lexington K.Y., have filed a law suit arguing that the festival’s music and “alchohal” (that’s how they spell it in the papers) negatively influence people and more specifically the Muslim world.

It’s hard however to take a guy like Jonathan Lee Riches seriously. It seems like the guy has tried suing everybody; racking in over one thousands suits since 2006. Martha Stewart, Jeff Gordan, Geogre W. Bush, Somali pirates, the “13 tribes of Isreal,” and various Buddhist monks have all felt Riches’ liturgical wrath according to his Wikipedia entry.

His partner is crime Dr. Ayman Al-Zawajiri may or may not be a known Al-Qaeda commander, but it’s hard to know if it really is him or if it is just some weird coincidence. They filed a restraining order against Bonnaroo and all of its vendors because they claim the “…music offends us…” I mean, I’m offended that Dave Mathews Band hasn’t realized that no one listened to him after 2002, and after he rained poop from the sky in Chicago, but I’m not going to sue Bonnaroo.

Most likely, the judge will just laugh it off, just like every other one of Riches zany lawsuits, and the two will just have to go on living in the jail they probably reside in. I think Riches is the master mind and just signed some random Al-Qaeda person’s name to get all the well deserved press he wanted.
