It’s about time.
At this time two years ago “Stillness is the Move” was arguably the huge summer anthem that made everyone notice the-unique sounding Brooklyn group The Dirty Projectors. With their intricate vocal harmonies and infectious rhythm, their album “Bitte Orca” won accolades as one of the best albums of 2009.
For the past two years fans have been wondering where they’ve been. And finally Dave Longstreth and the gang took to their Facebook page to announce their plans for the summer:
“Hey all, dave longstreth has been working on new songs since january, and we are all getting really psyched! the band is getting together later this month to hang, listen and prepare. recording this summer. so excited for the next chapter! thanks so much for all your support?”
Fans can only hope that the follow-up to “Bitte Orca” will be as impressive and creative. Though there’s no word about when the album will drop—we can only hope it’ll make its debut in time for Summer 2012.
