As if Walls’ “Sunporch” wasn’t sublime enough already, Holy Other comes and subdues it with some ghostly vapors.
As I noted in my review of Walls’ single “Sunporch”:
[It] has a ghostly, spectral quality to its atmospherics, which enwrap a “Blue Monday”/”I Feel Love” synth arpeggio that doubles as a second layer of percussion aside the beat. Wild, disembodied voices push in and out of the void. It’s a song for setting suns.
Holy Other remixes the track and highlights the ghostly, spectral atmospherics, and the result is darkly magickal. Emphasis on the ‘k’ here, because Holy Other imparts an otherworldly alchemy to the proceedings. As with other Holy Other songs, his Walls remix sounds like the end of the world.
