Plaid returns with the track “Missing” from the forthcoming LP “Scintilli.” Grab the free download.
The music video for Plaid’s “35 Summers” dropped about a month ago (fantastic song and video), and now the duo have released a second song “Missing” off of forthcoming LP “Scintilli.” It begins with acoustic guitar but very quickly takes on the flavor of the magnificent “35 Summers” with a menagerie of harpsichord-esque notes darting all over the field of sound.
It sounds as if the duo have learned something from scoring the films “Tekkon Kinkreet” and “Heaven’s Door,” for the music of “Missing” and “35 Summers” seems to have a narrative arc—that is, ups and downs—within its cinematic sounds.
