For those who aren’t struggling or protesting, check out these incredibly expensive gift ideas!
We’re still over a week away from Halloween and Christmas is already tip-toeing into our subconsciousness. Within a few weeks we’ll be bombarded with commercials, advertisements, and decorations that all seem to ignore the fact that Thanksgiving exists. I guess the holiday season now begins on Columbus Day, which this year was 80 degrees in the Greater New York area — a temperature that just screams eggnog and Santa Claus.
Normally, I would be completely against fueling the corporate Christmas fire, however, the upscale department store chain Neiman Marcus released their Christmas catalog. I’ve always known department stores like Neiman Marcus, Barney’s and Saks 5th Avenue were significantly out of my price range, but I never knew quite how many decimal places off I was from their typical clientele — until now.
In each year’s catalog Neiman Marcus dedicates a section to “fantasy gifts.” Since I’m not too familiar with the store this is the first I’ve heard about this annual section dedicated to outrageously priced “gifts.”
Check out some of this year’s offerings:
