Kanye West breaks his Twitter silence with the announcement of a new album.

That’s all Kanye West‘s dormant Twitter account spurted out around 5:30 p.m. today, his first tweet since September 13th, 2011. No other information is currently available, but given the modest title, this could mean a few things.
Considering Ye’s prolific nature, this may very well be the official solo followup to the grand scale “My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy” released last year. It could also be a sequel to his recent collaboration with Jay-Z, “Watch the Throne,” a comparatively more down to earth record than West’s last. There is also the possibility that this record could be a compilation of several artists featured on Kanye’s label G.O.O.D. Music.
As nothing else is known aside from the ambiguous message, we will have to see what develops over the next few days.
Considering Kanye West’s recent track record, no matter what it is, it’s going to be good, as its title indicates. Here’s the video for “Otis,” an example of West’s most recent work, alongside Jay-Z.
