David Lynch has released his debut electronic album “Crazy Clown Time.” Stream his collaboration with the Yeah Yeah Yeahs’ Karen O.
David Lynch‘s “Pinky’s Dream,” a duet with Karen O of the Yeah Yeah Yeahs, has a vaguely post-punk electronic feel and sounds not unlike his films feel. Indeed, over the years, David Lynch has written music for many of his films, often in collaboration with Angelo Badalamenti, so there is some consistency in aesthetic. It’s great to hear that Lynch took the creation of music seriously and has delivered something sonically interesting.
Late last year David Lynch also released the track “Good Day Today” which sounded like a Twin Peaks theme remix and “I Know,” which was a far darker and more disturbing affair than the former.
“Crazy Clown Time” is out now. Stream “Pinky’s Dream” below.
