Watch: Robyn on SNL

SNL makes a wise choice in getting a much better pop singer to perform as opposed to host Katy Perry.

When compiling our favorite music from this past year (Top Albums and Songs list coming soon), it’s always nice to look back at what moved us the year before. One of the artists who did that was Robyn, who stopped by SNL this weekend to play two tracks from last year’s “Body Talk.”

Robyn’s appearance was kind if an odd choice considering the material she performed is over a year old, but a very enjoyable break from the hit-and-mostly-miss nature of Saturday Night Live’s comedy.

The “Call Your Girlfriend” performance is about as entertaining as the song’s video considering Robyn’s wardrobe and penchant for hamming it up — she does a back flip that turns into a floor hump during the second verse.

She also did the typically awesome “Dancing On My Own” for her second song. Check them both out below.

Hmm I think she wore those same crazy leggings when she performed on Ellen.
