Both “The Daily Mail” and “Staircase” are to be released in conjunction with “The King of Limbs – From the Basement” DVD.
Over the course of this year, Radiohead have been parading two new songs they wrote and recorded after the release of their most recent album, “The King of Limbs.” While that record was good, it was a little on the short side and felt a bit incomplete because of it. Even the addition of “Supercollider” and “The Butcher,” given free to all those who paid early for the download of the album, didn’t fully put the record in its place.
With the addition of the blossoming “The Daily Mail” and the moody “Staircase,” Radiohead’s 2011 output seems a lot better. Having been performed on “Saturday Night Live,” “The Colbert Report,” and at their recent New York shows, those two songs can finally be obtained in high quality on December 19th, followed by the physical release of “The King of Limbs – From the Basement” DVD and Blu Ray on January 23rd.
