The lead single from Feist’s “Metals” gets a new remix courtesy of Beck.
Feist’s lead single off her new record “Metals,” ‘How Come You Never Go There,’ was just begging for remixes. While the track was perfectly satisfying on its own, its spare soundscape, punchy rhythms and chimey pianos that recall Timer Timbre’s “Bad Ritual” called out for embellishment.
As is his wont, Beck’s version is bold and brassy, with an in-your-face horn section and an aggressive, almost metallic beat punctuating the space between Feist’s delicate voice. Just as satisfying as the original, but this version one goes up to eleven.
