High school drummer pukes and rallies after solo

This video from Dangerous Minds of a young drummer at what appears to be his school band recital is a little gross, but ultimately impressive. In it, the kid performs a violent drum solo for about 45 seconds, then moments later, as the other instruments rejoin, he vomits, gathers himself for a couple seconds, and goes on to support his bandmates for the rest of the piece.

A lesser drummer would have finished his solo, then excused himself after throwing up, and no one would have faulted him. This kid is a solid drummer and a bonafide trooper, and in the end he laughs it off. It’s the trifecta of awesomeness. Hats off, kid.
