The program “Austin City Limits” has been host to countless great artists since the 1970s. This past weekend, PBS aired Arcade Fire’s recent appearance, where they played a spirited set and gave an interview.
Watching the show, it’s great to see a band win a Grammy for album of the year and remain completely unjaded by success, as can be seen by their vigorous performance. Win Butler even introduces everyone in the band towards the end, a hallmark of the “working class band.”
The 50-minute set is followed by interviews featuring Win Butler, RĂ©gine Chassagne, and Richard Parry discussing what they do to relax (basketball, oddly enough) and the band’s future plans.
