Obama is the best salesman ever, just ask Al Green and Jan Brewer

Wow, for such an anti-business socialist dictator, Barack Obama sure knows how to make people money. Just ask Jan Brewer and Al Green. Brewer, the governor of Arizona who recently got into a “heated argument” with Obama, saw sales of her memoir, “Scorpions for Breakfast,” jump 285,677 points from 285,685 to 8 on Amazon’s bestseller list less than 24 hours after the potentially manufactured news story of her presidential encounter went viral, according to Christian Science Monitor.

Sales for Al Green’s “Let’s Stay Together,” meanwhile, spiked nearly 500% after Obama sang the iconic song during a fundraiser at the equally iconic Apollo Theater in New York City.

Billboard, via Politico, reports:

A video of the president singing the first line of the song at a Jan. 19 fund-raising event went viral the next day, sparking a 490% weekly sales increase for the song. It sold 16,000 downloads in the week ending Jan. 22 according to Nielsen SoundScan.

It’s the best sales week for the song since SoundScan began tracking downloads in 2003.

So, to any creative types struggling to make ends meet, my advice to you: enlist that pinko Obama to your marketing team and then watch all that blessed green come rolling in. Shoot, the president may even have a new reelection slogan: “Obama, he’ll make it rain!”

How does that translate to candidates for President.  If Obama mentions ‘em, does it improve their chances, or stunt them?
