As part of Converse’s ongoing series “Three artists.One Song,” and coinciding with the release of a Jamie Hewlett-designed Chuck Taylor shoe, Damon Albarn‘s Gorillaz are teaming up with James Murphy and Andre 3000 to release the track “DoYaThing” on February 23rd.
While it is rather odd to see Albarn teaming with a shoe company (he doesn’t need the money or the motivation), this won’t be the first time for Murphy, who collaborated with Nike on the long-form record “45:33.”
It should be interesting what the trio produces, given that they are three of the most talented producers and multi-instrumentalists on the planet.
