When last we heard from Girls, they were paying tribute to Whitney Houston and releasing heart-shaped vinyl. Now they’ve unveiled a video for the “Father, Son, Holy Ghost” standout track, “My Ma.”
The song is a heartfelt, soulful and delicate song written for, you guessed it, frontman Christopher Owens’ mother. The video fits the same tone very well, with an older woman (we’re not sure if it’s really Owens’ mom or not) who brings up past emotions as she looks back on an acting career.
“My Ma” will be released as a 7-inch single with the B-side “Love Life” on May 22. There will only be 1000 copies pressed and it will be limited to 159 participating stores. Check out the video below.
