Watch Radiohead play 2 new songs live

Feb 28, 2012

After Radiohead’s painfully sold-out performance at New York’s Roseland Ballroom last year, the band has finally returned stateside to give us Americans a chance to hear the “King of Limbs” material in concert.

Kicking off their North American tour in Miami last night, Radiohead also unveiled a couple new songs which instantly found their way to YouTube, “Identikit” and “Cut a Hole.” Check out both below.

Last October Yorke revealed that the band is already writing material for a follow-up to “The King of Limbs.” “We can get things together quite rapidly at the moment,” he said. The two new tracks may be a first taste of what’s to follow on that record.

Though not exactly breaking any records for breadth as a band, Radiohead’s individual members have to be some of the most prolific musicians playing today between Thom Yoke’s solo work, Jonny Greenwood’s film scoring—hell, even drummer Phil Selway put out a solo record. Late last year guitarist Ed O’Brien announced he’s working on a solo record, making bassist Collin Greenwood the only Radiohead member not to pursue a solo album. But if he’s too busy enjoying being in Radiohead and spending the rest of his time chilling out, who can blame him?

Check out “Identikit” and “Cut a Hole” below.
