I don’t usually play a lot of racing simulators. That is, games in the Forza or Gran Turismo series. The gameplay tends to be dry and overly nuanced, you never get to start the game with any of the cars you want, and quite frankly the sheer size of these racing sims can be overwhelming at times. So when Forza Motorsport 3 Review: Forza Motorsport 3
arrived I naturally shivered at the thought of having to play through 50 lap races on an oval course with a fucking Subaru hatchback. Like most guys, I can admit when I am wrong. I misjudged this one, seriously. Forza 3 is hard not to like.
All 400+ cars are available to you to buy right off the grid. The game’s developer, Turn 10, has given you the ability to literally dial down the madness when it comes to simulation. At its highest level, you’ll be a clutch punching, gear tuning, air pressure conscious racing aficionado. However for those of us who just like to go fast and don’t care how, the game assists you to the point where all you have to do is hit the gas. I still think the visuals are lacking flare but the attention to detail is there so it’s kinda hard to complain. Simply put, Forza Motorsport 3 is tight.
