Porcelain Raft‘s Mauro Remiddi is a good looking man—no two ways about it. But his new video for “Drifting In and Out,” the lead-off track from his new album “Strange Weekend,” mostly obscures his stubbled mug in favor of shadow plays and a healthy dose of fog machine. The intent, according to a press release, is to “imagine [what] it’s like inside the head of a person just about to start dreaming.” The song itself is a drifty, pathos-laden number that evokes the ebullience of a summer morning as much as a deep slumber.
Remiddi is touring the excellent “Strange Weekend” now, and he’ll stay on tour at least through June, including a string of shows with Beach House. Check his site for tour details and check out “Drifting In and Out” below.
