The disco-era superstar Donna Summer has died at the age of 63 according to celebrity gossip site TMZ.
Summer was apparently in and out of treatment battling cancer and had kept her illness hidden from her fans for quite a long time. She was working on an album at the time of her death. There has been no official word on when the material will be released.
Donna Summers was best remembered for disco standards like “Last Dance” and “Hot Stuff” – both of which are still incredible – but we here at D&T believe that it was her collaborations with Giorgio Moroder that defined the 70′s.
