If you haven’t picked up “Fifty Shades of Grey” to scratch whatever curious itch the book’s wild popularity has caused, save yourself the $9.57. It’s far more embarrassing and poorly written than you’re imagining. If you don’t believe me, note that the hero refers to her “inner goddess” throughout the book—a lot.
As far as we’re concerned the only way to absorb “Fifty Shades of Grey,” in any form, is to watch this video by the good folks at College Humor in which Gilbert Gottfried reads erotic excerpts. It’s exactly as hilarious as it sounds.
