Paul Thomas Anderson’s hotly anticipated film “The Master” has a teaser trailer.
Rumors over the last few years suggest “The Master” was inspired by L. Ron Hubbard and his creation of Scientology. The clip gives precious little away, other than teasing that Joaquin Phoenix’s character is a miscreant of sorts. Instead of a Scientology satire, “The Master” appears to be rather more in the vein of “There Will Be Blood.” But, that’s the brilliance of a trailer like this: it could all be clever diversion with PTA the master illusionist.
