Many readers will remember Peter Serafinowicz for his role in “Shaun of the Dead” as the dickhead roommate who becomes a zombie. He’s also one half of the duo that created the great BBC series “Look Around You.” More recently the Boards of Canada fan announced that the Brothers Sandison are readying a new LP for 2012. Now, Serafinowicz directs a new Hot Chip video for the track “Night and Day.”
This isn’t the first Hot Chip video Serafinowicz has directed. A few years back he directed the positively hilarious, creepy and surreal “I Feel Better” video. In “Night and Day,” Serafinowicz mixes a cult, synchronized dance, a giant egg-like sculpture, spaceships, Terence Stamp, Reggie Watts and the incredibly gorgeous model Lara Stone into a very odd and ultimately incomprehensible story. Clearly the man loves science fiction of the surreal, avant garde variety..
“Many animals were harmed during the making of this video. Regrettably, none of them made the final edit,” said Serafinowicz of the clip on Vevo.
