We all know nothing is quite like the wrath of a pissed off, disappointed parent. For most of us, punishment is just a week without a cell phone or internet. However, for some poor Montgomery County girl, failing calculus had much greater consequences: homelessness. That’s right, 47 year old Tuan Huynh dropped his 16 year old daughter off 15 miles away from their home.
Huynh pleaded guilty to endangering the welfare of a child and is not allowed home until he finishes parenting classes. I wonder what parenting classes would even be like? What would you learn? It seems kind of redundant in this day and age to go to a class that tells you dropping off your child on a corner far away from home is not a good idea. Even worse, in court he appeared to have no remorse for what he did — a belief that he can do as he pleases with his kid.
The icing on the cake has to be the fact that the girl is an aspiring pianist, which is a greater accomplishment then anything I have ever accomplished in life. Let’s hope my parents don’t get wind of this and kick me out for my D in Spanish.
