Grizzly Bear announce new album and tour

Grizzly Bear finished out the last decade pretty well. Their third album “Veckatimest” was arguably their best work to date and featured their most successful single, “Two Weeks,” which appeared in a few commercials as well as hip playlists worldwide for a solid year. Since then, members of the group have been keeping themselves busy enough, with Daniel Rossen doing some solo work and Chris Taylor releasing an album under the name CANT. It’s been now over three years however since GB’s last record and its long overdue for these guys to deliver the followup to the smoky cabin mist of “Veckatamist.”

While still without a title, word has broken that the next chapter of the Grizzly Bear story will be set for a release on September 18 via Warp Records. While the band tries to cook up an appropriate name for the record, they’ve given us one new song from it — album opener “Sleeping Ute.” Daniel Rossen’s yearning croon is in check as well of the rest of the band’s jumbled acoustics and dreamy arpeggios.

Give it a listen now as what may come from the rest of the record could turn out to be an excellent addition to your fall catalog. A full track listing and tour dates are also included below.
