
We open on Michael Angelakos asleep in the middle of a suburban street, immaculately dressed in a great-looking shirt and skinny jeans and clutching a blue rubber ball. A beagle wakes him up and he throws the ball, where upon we become the ball and spend the rest of the video in a POV shot bouncing high above the suburbs, the cities, the clouds—that’s what an epic throw this is.
Doesn’t make any sense? Doesn’t have to, it’s a friggin’ music video—and it’s awesome. Passion Pit seems to have spared no expense with the first clip for their new album for the single “Take A Walk“—it looks like it was assembled from the cutting room floor of special effects shots from the new “Spiderman” movie. It’s a fun ride, and the visuals are fully satisfying. Take a look below. “Gossamer” is out July 24.
