David Byrne is the coolest. And St. Vincent is the coolest. So it seems only right that the two would team up for a collaboration.

Why does the cover art find them with painful-looking stuff protruding from their faces? We don’t know. But “Love This Giant” has been in the works for years, and will finally release on September 11 (ahem) this year. Today they’re releasing the first single “Who” as a free download.

The track finds Byrne dancing lead, with St. Vincent spicing it up in the bridges with a breathy vocal. A plodding beat and what can only be called a funky bass drive the track through “Huh! Ha!” sound effects that would sound right on any Talking Heads album. Grab it below and give a listen.
