Here’s a brand new video from a brand new band, HalfNoise.

Halfnoise is the solo moniker of Zac Farro, who along with his brother Josh had the good sense to leave the band Paramore, albeit amid some controversy.

Now Farro (Zac, that is) is out with some new material of his own, that sounds a little like Chris Martin moved to Iceland and started hanging out with Amiina.

But the best thing about this track might be its video, directed by Farro himself, which comprises old-looking black-and-white footage. It plays like some French new-wave short film, which cuts against the glossy sound of the track in an evocative way. Check it out, and check out the band’s site for tour dates.
