Last night in Times Square, Twin Shadow performed in front of an avid crowd for Art Takes Time Square. Shortly after, he premiered the new video for “5 Seconds” on its giant double LED screens which must have looked pretty odd to the taxis passing by 43rd and Broadway yesterday.

The video depicts a scene taken out of a novel George Lewis Jr. penned with friend Eric Green called “Night of the Silver Sun,” in which the two appear to be biker outlaws on the run from a rival gang that looks like an ancient Mayan tribe. In it you can see Lewis doing a pretty sweet move on his motorcycle, raising his feet up to to seat as he’s driving — “Well my mom is gonna be super bummed out, but yes that’s me surfing my motorcycle in the video for ’5 Seconds’ … and yes I’m also on the wrong side of the road.” Pretty badass.
