Kanye West’s G.O.O.D. Music finally announced

Better late than never. Last November, Kanye West ended an epic Twitter silence to meagerly announce “GOODMUSIC.THE ALBUM.SPRING2012.” Well Spring 2012 came and went, and although we got a couple new songs like “Mercy” and “Theraflu,” the supposed album never dropped.

Well it looks like “G.O.O.D. Music: The Album” will be slated for a mid-summer treat, now retitled “Cruel Summer,” taking its name from the seven-screen art film West premiered at the Cannes Film Festival last May. August 7 is the release date according to Pusha T who mentioned it on Hot 97 last night (via HipHopDX). He also revealed a few of the collaborators to be Big Sean, Frank Ocean, and Jay Electronica, among several others.

Still no word on when “Watch the Throne 2″ is supposed to make an appearance but it will hopefully not wait until the fall to gleam in our faces yet again.

Check out the video for “Mercy” below.
