Take it from the president: Dinner is too ordinary for a first date—gotta mix it up. “Take tips, gentlemen,” the president says, as he and Michelle recalled their first date together in Chicago. Where did he take her? To go see some art.

“Guys out there,” the president advises, “art—it impresses people.” Michelle agrees—”he showed his cultural side.”

And then of course, a long walk and a romantic movie: Spike Lee’s “Do The Right Thing.” Ok, so maybe not the most romantic movie. But it’s a classic.
