Part of the Burkholderia cepacia group (??), the bacteria should prove harmless for those with robust immune systems, but could pose a serious threat to the weak, especially those with lung disorders like cystic fibrosis, possibly leading to pneumonia and blood infection, reports News1130.
So now when you see small children licking the subway poles, cheer them on, because whatever filth they’re contracting will transform into the strength they’ll need a few years from now when bacteria is bathing in their anti-bacterial hand sanitizer like it’s a hot tub.
