Frank Ocean‘s had a big week. Last Tuesday, he came out on his personal blog where he stated that he’s been in love with a man for the past four years and last night at midnight he surprised everyone by releasing his major label debut “Channel Orange” on iTunes a week early.
A mere hour and a half later, he hit another milestone by making his network television debut on “Late Night with Jimmy Fallon” with the sweeping ballad “Bad Religion.” He came fully equipped with a formal string section as well as The Roots in tow. All in all it was a pretty brief performance and seemed to be lacking a climax but perhaps we need to listen to “Channel Orange” for the full payoff.
Check out the performance below.
