Today in bad ideas: Australians Dave Richards and Nathan Podmore jumped into their country’s shark-infested waters and swam away from their boat, hoping to do a little spear fishing. They ended up doing a little spear shark-fishing with a Great White big enough to chomp either of them in a single bite.
As The Daily What notes, a 16-foot Great White in Australia bit a surfer in half on Saturday. The fifth fatal attack in a year, lawmakers are considering removing the Great White from the Protected Species list.
Looks like they’re doing ok protecting themselves just fine.
