Chick-fil-A is back in the news again for absolutely loving Jesus and therefore hating gay people.
The chicken chain’s conservative stance and support for anti-gay groups has been the subject of protests, protest hoaxes, and even a protest transgender video. But as HuffPo notes, the company’s top-brass had remained quiet on the issue—until now.
Dan Cathy, son of the original Chick-fil-A patriarch, S. Truett Cathy, sat for an interview recently with the Baptist Press where he addressed the company’s conservative bias and anti gay marriage stance: “Well, guilty as charged,” Cathy said. He continued:
I think we are inviting God’s judgment on our nation when we shake our fist at Him and say ‘we know better than you as to what constitutes a marriage’ and I pray God’s mercy on our generation that has such a prideful, arrogant attitude to think that we have the audacity to define what marriage is about.
…
We are very much supportive of the family — the biblical definition of the family unit. We are a family-owned business, a family-led business, and we are married to our first wives. We give God thanks for that…we know that it might not be popular with everyone, but thank the Lord, we live in a country where we can share our values and operate on biblical principles.
It’s ironic that Cathy makes a living serving what is most certainly a departure from the biblical definition of a chicken—a hormone-pumped factory-farmed product that is anything but natural. But homophobic corporate entities whose mission is to “create raving fans,” as Cathy put it, while denouncing such a huge portion of the population can’t be expected to operate from a place of logic.
Here’s how to make a gay-friendly Chick-fil-A sandwich, the Chick-fil-Gay.

There are no hormones pumped into any chicken raised in the US. But why concern ourselves with facts?

Joseph is correct–hormone use with poultry is illegal in the U.S. Instead, in order to produce large chickens in little time, Chick-Fil-A's proper, God fearing anti-gay chickens are kept in small cages to reduce their movement, and overfed (think veal, or geese for pate). These conditions encourage bacteria growth so… instead of hormones, antibiotics are used in the chicken feed. Much better! (Sarcasm) I buy free range chickens, 'organic', or both.

Kelly Medley, I hope you were kidding, but I'm afraid you are not. Do you approve of the abuse of farm animals for profits? Or, is it possible that Chick-Fil-A themselves are making a mockery of Christianity?

Why in the shit do you people (christians) fucking force feed your thoughts about shit on others? Chick-Fil-A can hate whomever they like, but I don't think they should be trying to force feed their beliefs on others. I'm not gay, but I don't hate them. They can do/be whatever they like.
I hope your burn in a fire, just to show you the irony of you 'loving Jesus', and thinking you will be saved from hell.

Pulling from the top here.
When you speak about god don't use "our nation" in the same sentence. I'm in the military and I am Catholic and still to this day it bugs me that everywhere religion is still not split up from state.

There is more then one religion, and I would prefer it if they were all treated equally. There is no wrong nor right, and the Bible was written by a man not a god. I question who's word we're really hearing from when the bible is read. This isn't 1 A.D. times change evolution happens. Adapt and overcome yadayadayada. If you can't accept that times are changing and that sometimes even the bible should change how it is worded or read then I don't want to live on this planet.

The bible does not need to change, people need to wake up and learn how to read it, which apparently very few actually do, they only think they do. The title of this article is absolutely retarded literally, and is geared to draw attention for due comment follow up. The world does only one religion and one savior, as they all have been looking for one since recording history. The savior came, and people are still denying it..pitiful. The savior came, and now we have "Spirituality"..yet if not for him, we could not have it because it could never have been realized. As for one religion, correct, he came to make the world the church, and we as individuals to be the temple of the Spirit. Jesus never said anything about homosexuality..and it is the other religions that are now outdated and still in the dark ages..except one..that is one big lie. But again, like politics…in every religion on this planet there are extremists in every direction, it is not a Christian phenomena

Everyone is entitled to their own opinion. Christianity is just as outdated and in the Dark Ages as any other religion.

You call them teenage girls yet you are the one who whines just because an establishment doesn't agree with your way of thinking. And to say Jesus hates gays is about as stupid as stupid gets. And I mean "ignorant" as in NOT knowing the facts–for the record, I'm not name calling on you just to hurt your feelings. It's safe to say that neither Jesus nor Chick fil a HATE or even DISLIKE gays. So quit acting like a toddler and grow the heck up.

I don't understand what's so bad about his statement. Furthermore, where is the tolerance our society is supposed to be full of? Just because there are differing assumptions and ideologies at work, doesn't mean that we should call for someone's head on a stake every time we don't like what they say.
Remember, there are assumptions behind what people think. Find out what they are and examine your own in comparison.
