When you’re holding it in your hand and it’s about to go off one can imagine that there’s a huge sense of power. It’s technically illegal to wave it around in public, but there are countless magazines available that both picture and fetishize them.
I’m talking about penises. Were you talking about guns? Ah, but that’s because gun-freaks have penis envy (literally) (and by “have penis envy” I mean a near literal definition of it) and that a gun is one of the most phallic things someone can carry. The fact that there are entire lobbyist groups dedicated to the cause that any American can walk around with basically a metal dick – that they can then penetrate someone with bullets if feeling threatened – and that that is a right second only to free speech and freedom of the press – that idea is ludicrous.
Anyway.
Gun Owners of America – a group backed by Senator / former dentist Rand Paul – is claiming that James Holmes was acting in part of a coup placed by the UN in order to take away American’s guns.
It takes one mind to shoot up a movie theater, but it takes entirely another to assume that it has something to do with international gun laws placed by a league of nations. I’m sorry, Gun Owners of America, but you are so wrong you are practically the Yo Yo Ma of being wrong, you are the Glenn Close of errors, and you are the Michael Jordan of dipshitidness. All military bases are "gun free" zones. Meaning concealed carry is forbidden. That means laws were already in place that stop citizens and soldiers from defending themselves. MP's do carry guns, and it took their ass a fair amount of time to arrive at the scene(along with civilian police) to shoot the crook. But regular soldiers(who's M.O.S. was not Military Police) were the ones being fired upon. Meaning those soldiers(who's M.O.S. was not Military Police) if armed, could have returned fire and limited the amount of causalities sustained.
