Of all the things a person or entity could do to piss off Anonymous, the following one might take the cake. A French t-shirt company called Early Flicker has applied for a trademark for both the Anonymous logo and slogan.
The news was tweeted by Asher Wolf and prompted the following tweet: “I can already hear the ion cannons spinning up…” This, of course, is a reference to one of Anonymous’s favorite weapons, the Low-Orbit Ion Cannon, which the collective has used to bring down a number of sites over the last few years.
One can sense that this trademark attempt will not end well for Early Flicker, and it should be interesting how it all plays out.
