London Mayor Boris Johnson is what you might call delightfully eccentric. Take, for example, this hilarious supercut video of Johnson that was launched to welcome the Olympics to London, and keep in mind that it features the friggin’ mayor of one of the world’s biggest cities.
Johnson took to the streets to celebrate England winning its first gold in the London Olympics, carrying the torch of crazy exuberance himself by riding a zip line over Victoria Park while waving two Union Jack flags.
Look at that photo—he’s like the Richard Branson of politicians (minus the billions, presumably). Apparently in such a rush to get out there and celebrate in an extreme way, Johnson didn’t even let anyone test the rig before taking flight. He got stuck mid-flight, dangling there like a goof.
If Johnsson were a different kind of politician it would probably stick to him in a bad way, like Michael Dukakis sitting in the tank. But Johnson is way too charming for that—this guy belongs dangling on a zip line. Watch below and check out more pics here.
