You’ve probably heard of Charli XCX. She’s kiiiiind of a big deal. The British chanteuse is out with her single for “You’re the One” on September 3rd, and today we get a listen to one of the remixes that will grace that single’s release, a bang-up job from Odd Future’s The Internet, with a guest verse from Mike G.

Part of what makes Charli XCX so interesting is that on her own she already sounds like an amalgam of vastly different sounds—sort of like taking one atom of Lily Allen and one atom of The Weeknd and smashing them together to make one compellingly bizarro supermolecule. Combine all that with even more elements in this Odd Future remix and tossing in a rap verse from Mike G and you’ve got yourself an earful. Amazingly, it totally works.
