Socialite playboy Julien Chabbott did an incredible thing yesterday: He made us actually root for a New York City cop writing someone a parking ticket.

If you’ve ever spent any time in NYC and had any reason to interact with its cops—be it while exercising your right to free speech in Occupy, trying to walk down the street unmolested by searches if you happen to not be white, or just running back to your car with its flashers on after popping into the deli to grab a water for literally 30 seconds to find an unforgiving cop issuing a ticket big enough to dent your life savings—you’ll know that getting us to root for a cop is no small feat.

Julien Chabbott is described as an “internet entrepreneur,” though neither his name nor his app, Line Snob, which helps impatient consumers avoid the pitfalls of lines nearby at everywhere from clubs to Starbucks, appears in Crunchbase. His real claim to fame is dating former reality TV show Stephanie Pratt of “The Hills.” Also, he drives a $260,000 Ferrari Spyder.

Pairing the impatience on which his app is built with the tell-tale entitlement typical of guys in Ferraris, Chabbott was arrested on felony charges yesterday for assaulting an officer. Chabbott returned to his illegally parked car to find a cop writing a ticket, as we all have before. But instead of gritting his teeth and taking the ticket, Chabbott first tried to grab the cop’s ticket book, and then tried to flee the scene. When the cop wouldn’t clear the Ferrari’s way to let him pass, Chabbott ran over the guy’s foot. You know, because a guy in a $260,000 car can’t afford a parking ticket.

Now TMZ reports that a source close to Chabbott and Pratt says Chabbott thinks the cop was faking it, and that he didn’t actually run over his foot at all. “Julien believes the video shows the cop looked just fine as he walked over to the driver’s door, adding the cop doesn’t start limping until he knows other officers are watching,” TMZ writes.

What the video shows is a cop whose current starting salary is $34,970 so pissed at being run over by a 28 year-old in a $260,000 car that he sees red and, clearly hopped up on adrenaline, pulls Chabbott out of the car by his cardigan and throws him over the trunk with one hand.

The video also shows a huge douchebag getting arrested.

As for the cop, he was treated in outpatient care for an injured left foot and right hand (presumably injured tossing Chabbott over the car) and released yesterday. Watch the video below.
