If 2012 is remembered for anything in the future, it will be looked upon as the year in which governments and corporations really attempted to regulate and control the Internet. It will also be remembered as the year that a combination of civil liberties groups, Internet activists, Anonymous and various other concerned parties and individuals fought back against bills and treaties like SOPA, ACTA and TPP.

Below is a new documentary called “Faultlines,” which surveys the various forces attempting to control the unwieldy, rhizomatic and highly democratic Internet.
