Gotye is major now—he doesn’t even have to show up in videos now, say nothing of show up naked with Kimbra.
The official video for “Save Me” was released today, from last year’s “Making Mirrors,” Gotye’s newest album with the megahit “Somebody That I Used to Know,” which made him the first Australian with a number-one hit since Savage Garden.
What the video lacks in naked body paint gimmicks in makes up for in artistry—it’s actually a really gorgeous animated short about a kind of marionette figure coming to life in three dimensions through various states of assemblage. The video was directed by Peter Lowey—check it out below.
