
Noel Heroux’s Brooklyn-based synth-rock band Hooray for Earth have a new pair of singles coming out on August 21 to follow up last year’s excellent full-length “True Lovers.”
Hooray for Earth’s special talent isn’t just in making good tunes or good textures, but in transporting you someplace else. Their songs are atmospheric enough to get lost in, and with a moodiness that’s vaguely anachronistic, as if they belong on tour with Echo and the Bunnymen more so than anyone who might be playing today.
Today they stream “Never.” Take a listen below. It’ll be out August 21 on Dovecote along with another new one, “Figure.”
