The Iowa State Fair became ground zero for Beergate 2012 yesterday after Obama bought a round of beers for supporters yet refused to buy one for a guy holding a Romney sign.
According to the Washington Examiner:
“Hey everyone who’s over 21, you gotta buy a beer!” Obama said, according to the pool report, as he stopped by the party tent where one person was holding a Romney sign
When asked if he was buying, Obama said, “Let me see what’s in my wallet.”
As the crowd cheered “Four more beers!” the president relented.
“I’ll tell you what, except for Romney sign, I’ll buy beers for ten people,” he said.
The Republican talking point here is surely that Obama doesn’t have enough money to provide beer TO ALL – but hey, if you’re showing up at an Obama event with a Romney sign: fuck you, buddy.
Speaking of which, what is a Romney supporter doing at a state fair? Surely, everyone who votes for Romney must be a millionaire, anyway. Why would anyone in the middle class vote for him? Take a look at the graph of the Ryan plan:

That's a terrible thing to say. I may be opposed to everythign Obama stands for, but he's still a human being and deserving of that dignity.

Jeff Stevens, I applaud you for that very statement; if more people thought & felt that way, this WORLD WOULD BE SO MUCH BETTER. We can Agree to Disagree, then still Love, Respect, & Treat each other as HUMAN BEINGS. Pass it own Jeff.

I wouldn't buy the asshole a beer either! I wonder why the guy thought differently… he won't vote for the Obama, but he'll get up in arms when the man he spends time taking shit about (presumably) won't buy him a beer…..republicans…

I didn't read anywhere in this article that the Romney supporter is the one complaining. It seems like it was the news outlets that are making something out of nothing. It must be nice to read a few lines from a website and know everything else that happened but not printed…..democrats…

It seems that this is taken pretty badly out of context. He said "Just kidding" right afterward. See the video here: http://www.thegatewaypundit.com/2012/08/awful-obama-buys-round-of-beers-at-beer-tent-in-iowa-except-for-the-romney-supporter-video/ (For the record, I'd never vote for Mr. Obama, I'm a conservative, but conservatives are concerned with truth. There's plenty about Mr. Obama for us to disagree with, without making anything up.)

LOL…I hadn't heard about this and you are so right Jeff, we don't need to make stuff up. Of course, had I heard about this, I think my response would have been so what? After all, he can buy a beer for whomever he chooses and he can snub whomever he wants.

have you noticed that the prObama junk mail has pics of President Obama standing in front of machines, not with people, not with his family, not with a flag… just… in front of machines. I'm sure the American cars would vote for him.

So "conservatives are concerned with truth." Oh really? Not conservative #2, apparently. If I was Paul Ryan I'd be very concerned with truth, because it doesn't match what comes out of his mouth. Putting his hand in the stimulus cookie jar after voting against it makes him a hypocrite and pitching the department of energy that it creates jobs in Wisconsin while calling it wasteful spending reinforces that hypocrisy, but telling reporters he didn't ask for money, and even going so far as to say he's not one of "those guys" that vote one way and act another – that's just plain lying. If the truth was polar opposite of what I was saying, I'd be "concerned with truth" myself. Talk about "making anything up" . . .
