Once in a while something comes across this desk that is neither a bad album nor a bill from a collection agency. Today that thing was Homeboy Sandman, an MC I wasn’t familiar with.
Homeboy Sandman has a great story; he apparently gave up law school to pursue rap full time. His father’s also gone through some interesting things, too. In fact, all of these details are there in this video. What am I even telling you all this for! The point is that Homeboy Sandman is perhaps one of the most affable rappers in Queens and has been finding some success on the Stone’s Throw label, and this is his story.
Here’s the video for “I Do Whatever I Want” released back in May…
… and here’s “Whatchu Want From Me?”
