In case you’d forgotten since watching Poliça‘s last video for “Amongster,” which featured mostly snails and worms crawling around in the woods, frontwoman Channy Leaneagh is way pretty. The new video for “Dark Star” showcases Leaneagh singing and dancing in silvery light and slow-mo. But classy, because this is Poliça, after all.
The band was instantly hailed as one of 2012′s breakouts with their February release of “Give You The Ghost,” and “Dark Star” is the record’s epic breakout: one part The xx one part Stevie Nicks, with Leaneagh’s signature artisanal autotune working the chorus melody into a haunting croon, there’s really nothing not to like here.
