As you probably heard, the Russian judge Marina Syrova today sentenced Nadezhda Tolokonnikova, 23, Maria Alyokhina, 24, and Ekaterina Samutsevich, 29 of Pussy Riot to 2 years in jail today for hooliganism driven by religious hatred for performing a “punk prayer” at a Moscow cathedral.
The band released a new single via the Guardian today called “Putin Lights Up the Fires,” and the publication edited together news images and video of the band and their supporters. Watch below.
