
Director Tony Scott jumped to his death – apparently without any sort of hesitation – yesterday in the Los Angeles harbor. He left behind a legacy of accesible blockbusters that heightened the movie-going experience. Perhaps best known for 1986′s “Top Gun”, few other directors had quite the knack of “spectacle” like he did. Whether it was racecars, fighter pilots, or unstoppable trains, Scott managed to achieve a sense of boyhood wonder in almost every movie he made.
