It didn’t take long for Rush Limbaugh to unleash his usual brand of bloviating absurdities when commenting on the Empire State Building shooting.

Limbaugh can be heard on his radio show accusing Obama and his supposed anti-business rhetoric (a figment in the conservative imagination) of perhaps inspiring the shooter to commit his crime. Obama and the Democrats “have blood on their hands,” says Rush.

Yes, now that Limbaugh mentions it to his very impressionable audience, one can certainly imagine how Obama, who despite his failures (and I have leveled much criticism at him) has only called for shared sacrifice, might have convinced a man to lose his mind, target his boss, and engage in a shoot-out with NYPD.

These are pretty desperate economic times for people. But, Limbaugh would know nothing about that, what with his multi-million dollar empire of lies and propaganda. The truth is that Obama has kept in place the lowest tax rates of the last 30 years, given Wall Street’s subprime mortgage criminals a free pass (AG Eric Holder isn’t prosecuting any of them), and worked with the Federal Reserve to hand out cheap money to banks so that corporations will spur business growth. And the banks and businesses aren’t biting. Obama has been at least as business-friendly as Reagan, but that doesn’t fit the right-wing narrative.

And so to cement in the minds of Americans Obama’s alleged anti-business policy, Limbaugh has to resort to the disgust as seen below in the transcript and video, courtesy of Media Matters.

Limbaugh also attempts to blunt his outrageous statements by claiming he’s somehow playing the blame game created by the “news media” and the “rest of the left.” Limbaugh remarks, “So, yes. We’re trying to illustrate absurdity by being absurd. The absurd way the news media, the rest of the left, try to capitalize and politicize any terrible crime that they think they can associate with Republicans or conservatives. We’ve seen it time and time again.”

No, Rush, don’t blame the Left for what you really believe here.

LIMBAUGH: The New York Daily News and a lot of the New York media and some of the television networks — New York Daily News reporting that the Empire State Building shooter — you heard about this? OK. New York Daily News reporting the Empire State Building shooter did indeed kill his boss. Well, he was fired yesterday. He went out there and he killed his boss. I wonder if Obama’s constant warfare on bosses and so forth might have led this guy to pull the trigger.

LIMBAUGH: Oh, you ought to see the faces of the people on the other side of the glass. “Oh, no. Rush, you didn’t really said that — say that. We got time on the delay to — no, Rush. Oh, you didn’t really say” — yes, I said it. And we’re not going to bleep it out.

I’ll guarantee you, the last time there was a shooting in New York, who’d the mayor blame it on? Tea Party people that didn’t like health care, right? Gabby Giffords, you name it. The shooting out in Colorado. Brian Ross, Tea Party did it.

Well, here you got a guy shooting his boss for being fired. Who’s out there ripping bosses to shreds every day? Who’s out there ripping businesses to shreds every day? And who’s out there killing jobs every day?

So, yes. We’re trying to illustrate absurdity by being absurd. The absurd way the news media, the rest of the left, try to capitalize and politicize any terrible crime that they think they can associate with Republicans or conservatives. We’ve seen it time and time again.

So, why not give them a dose of their own medicine here? You think Obama, you think the Democrats have any blood on their hands with this shooting today?

Don’t be frightened in there on the other side of the glass. It isn’t any big deal.
