Some things shouldn’t be reinvented. Daisey Dukes for example; whenever someone tries to reinvent their Daisey Dukes, they end up looking like a five-year-old with a BeDazzler designed them. Breakfast too. Why would anyone want to “reinvent” something so simple and true?
But apparently “reinventing breakfast” is what Taco Bell is going for with two new menu offerings, Mountain Dew A.M., which is Mountain Dew mixed with Tropicana OJ; and the A.M. Crunchwrap—eggs, cheese and bacon with a hash brown, all wrapped up in a tortilla.
Both sound terrible, but the drink sounds especially crazy, like something Honey Boo Boo had a hand in.
Taco Bell sold 100 million Doritos Locos Tacos 10 weeks, which is probably why they’re going for it with the Mountain Dew mash-up. Maybe they’ve gotten a little too confidant.
