As Bat For Lashes’ Natasha Kahn told us in an interview, on her new album “The Haunted Man” she wanted to appear more honestly, with less disguise on her vocals, pushing her voice naked and unaffected to the front of the mix. (Hence the naked album cover—it all fits together.)

Today she continues the theme of female-named tracks, following up her first single “Laura” with a new one, “Marilyn.” You can stream it below or grab a free download here. Like “Laura,” “Marilyn” is gorgeous, with Natasha almost channeling the best of Kate Bush. But as promised, her voice sounds natural, almost intimate, as if she’s singing it right in the room with you.
